A 22-month-old baby from Terenule in Dublin was taken to Tara Hospital and later taken to Temple Street.
Inspector Ronan Barry from Klondall Kingarda Station participated in the opening of an investigation into the loss of cups at the Dublin Coroners Court. There were no family members, but Insp Ronan said there was a liaison officer who kept the family up to date.
Baby grandfather Joe Maloney went to the hospital after the baby died. In a statement read by the court, Maloney visited Temple Street on June 19, 2019, and declared that he had officially recognized his grandchildren.
After death, led by dr. Michael McDermott, he showed the cause of death as a serious brain damage. Insp Barry said the file related to the incident was completed and submitted to the Attorney General (DPP).
Gardai is waiting for a DPP decision, and Insp Barry has asked for a six-month proposal to have time for this decision. Dr. Mylacarinan, the medical examiner, initiated the study on May 7, 2020 as an additional reference.
